Sewing classes are back in April! This month we’re focusing on another round of beginner classes to get everyone up to speed on the fundamentals of sewing. Classes are led by local designers and designed to get you feeling confident and motivated to tackle your next project!
LEARN TO SEW (4 participants)
2:30pm-4:30pm
This is a complete beginner class that takes you back to basics. No experience necessary!
Some of the topics we will cover:
How to thread a sewing machine and resolve tension issues
How to sew straight lines, corners and curves
How to gather fabric
How to sew buttons and buttonholes
How to choose a fabric, needles, thread
How to lay out and cut a pattern
Plus you’ll get a bunch of take-home instructional material and your own folder of sewing samples! VALUE!
What to bring: Your own sewing machine (or hire for +$10) / all other materials provided
Classes are held in-store at Practice Studio - 58 Vulture St, West End
If for any reason you’re unable to make it on the day, let us know as soon as you can and we’ll see if anyone is able to take your place. As spaces are limited, cancellations within 24 hours of the event start time are non-refundable, however you’re welcome to change the name of the attendee on your booking.
