Self Sewn Workshop

  • PRACTICE STUDIO Shop 3/ 44 Montague Rd South Brisbane Australia (map)

Develop the skills and confidence to start making the clothes you want : take home a personalised plan to tackle your next sewing project with Tahnee from Self Sewn Sewing Studio

Limited spaces available: link to eventbrite here!

Who is this workshop for:

  1. If you know way around a sewing machine a little, but are not confident to sew for yourself - we'll demystify the process and develop a plan for tackling your next project

  2. If you've attempted to sew from patterns but find them a bit baffling - we'll cover how to read the pattern and key terms

  3. If you've made clothes from patterns and they seem like they're totally the wrong size or shape for your body - we'll share tips for why this might be (hint, there's no flaws in your body - patterns are standardised and we are not!) and resources on making pattern adjustments

  4. If you've got beautiful fabric but are scared to use it - we'll encourage you to take the plunge and start sewing.

Please note: this workshop does not teach you how to use a sewing machine or involve any actual sewing. Please keep an eye out for other class offerings via our social media, or sign up to the mailing list via our website.
